After discussing with our group, we have decided to mainly focus on doing a teen/drama film opening sequence. We then went on to watch opening sequences of The Back Up Plan and Juno.
The opening sequence begins with a cartoon drawing of the protagonist walking along the street.
The credits of the producer/director is placed in the bottom left corner. The opening sequence helps introduce what the film is about. For example, the baby "crawl" sign, and in the TV it has a baby scan of a foetus. This foreshadows that the woman is pregnant and is going to have a baby.
The use of the cartoon of New York City, and the baby blocks representing the building help establish the setting of where the film will take place.
It then cuts to real life of a gynacologist inspecting the protagonist. This is the start of the main film.
